PREPARATION

Before starting, you ensure your hands and nails are well cleaned. File your nails if necessary, so that there are no snags. By doing this you prevent damages on the face and risk of infection.

Always work using clean materials (sponges, brushes, spatulas, water bowls) and change the water regularly.

Protect your models clothing with a hairdressing cape or a towel.

Grimas Eyeshadow/Rouge Pearl is a glossy, compressed powder for use as eyeshadow or rouge. Eyeshadow/Rouge and Pearl Eyeshadow are very colour-intensive.

By playing with light and dark eye shadow colours you can give the eye an ideal shape.
The general rule is: light brings things into prominence, dark makes them recede.

EYESHADOW

Grimas Eyeshadow/Rouge Pearl is a glossy, compressed powder for use as eyeshadow or rouge. Take the required colour of eye shadow out using a brush or applicator. Spread the eye shadow out on the back of your hand and then work from the hand to get the right amount.

In principle, you apply a light colour to the upper eyelid, a dark colour in the eye fold and a very light colour to the eyebrow arch (highlight).

Apply the light colour first using the brush and touch up with a latex sponge.

The dark colours (for instance, in the fold of the upper eyelid) you apply after this.
EYELINER

You can make an eyeliner with Grimas Eyeshadow/Rouge and a little Cleansing Lotion.

Scrape a little Grimas Eyeshadow/Rouge loose along the side of the cup using a spatula or the back of a brush. Take it up with a brush that has been moistened with Grimas Cleansing Lotion and mix it on the back of your hand.

Apply the eyeliner with an MR 1 or MR 2 brush.

Upper eyelash edge: pull the outer corner of the eye upwards a little, get the subject to close their eyes and use a brush to place the eyeliner against the upper eyelashes and apply it from the inner corner outwards. Do not start too close to the inner corner of the eye and stop at the outer corner of the eye.
If you want to draw the eyeliner line further, do this while the eyes are open and do not pull the skin. Let the line run a little upwards from a quarter of the way from the end.

You can also proceed as follows: let the eyes open and put a dot on the outside next to the eye in an imaginary line extending from the lower edge of the eye. Reckon with the eyelid fold when doing so. Get the model to close their eyes again and extend the line already drawn to the point marked.

If necessary, thicken the drawn line to the desired shape.
Lower eyelash edge: apply the eyeliner with a brush from the outer corner towards the inner side, but do not finish too close to the inner corner of the eye. If necessary, fade with a dry brush.

Hint: if the eyes are totally encircled, they will look smaller. To avoid this, draw the lower line up to approximately the centre of the eye.

MASCARA

Grimas Mascara is a waterproof mascara. This extremely waterproof mascara is less suitable for people with contact lenses.
Apply the mascara from where the eyelashes begin right to the ends of the upper and lower eyelashes with a rotating movement. If required, you can apply mascara for a second or third time by brushing along the eyelashes using the brush in the direction of the outer corner of the eye. Repeat applying the mascara until the desired result is achieved. If necessary, brush off with a clean, dry mascara brush afterwards to remove any lumps.

If required, you can apply mascara for a second or third time by brushing along the eyelashes using the brush in the direction of the outer corner of the eye. This makes the eyes appear more almond-shaped.

REMOVING THE PRODUCTS

You can remove the make-up with Grimas Cleansing Cream or Cleansing Milk.
Remove the Mascara with a cotton wool pad with Grimas Cleansing Milk, Make-up Remover or Multi Remover Pure.

CLEARING UP THE MATERIALS

Store the make-up in a dry and cool place until the next time you use it.

The sponges are disposable so you can throw them away after use. If you do want to reuse them, first rinse them under the tap with some soap or shampoo or wash them in the washing machine (in a net bag or pillow case), set to at least 60°C. The loose sponge tip of the Applicator should be replaced regularly, but you can also wash it with soap or shampoo a few times.

You can clean brushes with water and soap or shampoo. Put the moist hairs of the brushes back into shape by hand after washing. Dry the brushes lying flat on a towel and do not place them upright, since that causes the moisture to run down into the shaft.
